Ohio has provided postal historians with a wide array of stampless postal markings. Indeed, the American Stampless Cover Catalog devotes more space to Ohio than to any other state but New York.

Even so, many Ohio markings remain unlisted or unstudied. The goal of this website is to increase the knowledge of Ohio stampless postal markings.

This website grew from my desire to place good-quality images of all of my covers onto a CD-ROM for insurance and reference purposes. Thus far, the illustrated covers are from my own collection, but I actively encourage others with Ohio covers to submit their own.

I envision that this site will eventually include both a gallery of full cover illustrations, and an online catalog that focuses on the markings themselves. The catalog is just getting under way; please take a look.

To this end, submissions of Ohio stampless covers are encouraged. For consistency, scans should be at 100%, 150 dpi. Submitted covers should be described as in this site, with date, type of marking, rate, destination, and type of content.

This gallery currently includes images of 461 covers, from 210 post offices!
